Alaska State Board of Public Accountancy

April 22^nd and 23^rd the Board of Public Accountancy met in Anchorage on the campus of the University of Alaska – Anchorage. The bills to establish mobility, adjust the firm ownership requirements to simple majority, and create an executive secretary position were combined and passed during the legislative session. Regulations changes must now be developed for these bills. Additionally, the job description for the executive secretary position will be created, and a search conducted with the intention of the position beginning January 2011.

The Board reviewed the license action process and investigative unit procedures with the Investigator and received clarification regarding the process and communications made by the division. A flow chart was provided to document this process.

The next meeting of the Board of Public Accountancy will be held August 26^th and 27^th in Fairbanks.
