Legislative Committee – HB 315 Passes

The legislative committee contributed to the successful passage of HB 315, which passed just about 15 minutes before the legislature adjourned for the session.  The bill has been awaiting transmittal to the governor since April 18, 2010.  HB 315 provides for the following:

1.      License mobility

2.      Cross-jurisdictional disciplinary procedures

3.      Simple-majority firm ownership

4.      An executive secretary for the Board of Public Accountancy

The fiscal note for the executive secretary position provided for in this bill is $134,230, which will come from CPA licensing fees.

Projects for the following year include writing regulations to implement HB 315 and assisting the Board of Public Accountancy, if necessary, with assistance in writing a job description for the executive secretary.
